Awareness and Understanding of Autism in Children

The course will be delivered in a combination of theory, as well as practical and interactive exercises. Attendees will also have the opportunity to consider action points going forward after the course. Trainer Manar Matusiak has over 20 years’ experience at director level in the specialist care and education sector, in particular in the field of autism. She helped to set up and develop the first transitional residential service in the country for young adults with autism and complex needs. Her background is in teaching and management. During her career, she was Personal and Professional Development Director for one of the national specialist autism providers, overseeing the development. She is currently Managing Director of Living Autism and she trains and coaches nationally across all sectors This is an introductory workshop and may not be suitable for those in clinical settings. Workshops are based on small group interactions. Please do ensure you are committed to attending the full duration of the workshop. The workshop is costed at £75 PP and has been funded by North East London Health and Care Partnership
