FLU UPDATE FOR EXPERIENCED IMMUNISERS
Monday 21st October, 12pm – 3pm
This session prepares pharmacists for the flu vaccine and identifies at risk groups, questions that may arise and administering the influenza vaccines.
This update looks at latest guidelines around the administration of the flu vaccine, storage, transport and which vaccine is suitable for different patient groups.
NEW TO FLU – TRAINING FOR STAFF WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED FLU VACCINE TRAINING
Tuesday 29th October, 11am – 3pm
Join our expert-led session and learn how to prevent, recognise, and manage flu effectively. Tailored specifically for beginners, this course will provide you with all the essential tools to stay ahead during flu season!
Please note: Pre course work is required and the two modules below will need to be completed and submitted prior to the training session: – Vaccine Administration – Communicating with patients, parents, and carers This session covers theory only, injection technique will need to be demonstrated and assessed in the workplace by a mentor who is appropriately trained in immunisations. You will be asked to provide the details of your mentor in the registration form.
