NEL UNPICKING UNCONSCIOUS BIAS Becoming an Advocate for Allyship and Inclusive Leadership

30 April 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

DESCRIPTION

North East London Training Hubs are pleased to offer public sector workforce across the region to engage in a workshop focusing on exploring allyship and inclusive leadership in the workplace.

The 1.5 hour workshop aims to follow on from the large plenary session delivered in January on ‘overcoming unconscious bias’ and help unpick aspects of providing allyship in tackling discrimination and prejudice. We will also facilitate discussions around how we develop a culture of inclusive leadership in our workplaces. The workshops aim to be small groups, to help promote discussion and openness.

We would expect all participants to contribute and engage in these sessions. You are only required to attend one workshop. We will also focus on additional topics in the future.

Multiple dates available across February and March 2021. Early booking advised, spaces are limited. Prior to attendance please complete the Harvard Implicit Association Test: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/user/agg/blindspot/indexrk.htm

The workshops will be facilitated by Dr Anwar Khan, East London GP and Waltham Forest Training Hub Clinical Chair and Dr Clive Gibson, Director of the programmes leading to the MSc in Clinical Education and Academic Staff Development at Keele University.

*Please only register to one workshop.*
