Working with Women Experiencing Multiple Disadvantage

If you would like to increase your understanding of how to support women experiencing problematic substance use, exploitation and violence, involvement in trafficking and prostitution, homelessness, or those who are in contact with the Criminal Justice Service, then please join us for our interactive online workshop.

We will be sharing good practice tools and techniques aimed at helping you engage women and make appropriate onward referrals to specialist services.

Learning Outcomes:

• Increase knowledge of sexual and domestic violence, to improve access to support and services for women.

• Increase knowledge among professionals about women’s experience of VAWG, exploitation homelessness, substance use and how the areas intersect.

• Increase knowledge among professionals about strategies for supporting/referring women who experience violence, exploitation, substance use and homelessness.

nia has been delivering services for women, girls and children who have experienced sexual and domestic violence since 1975. nia is run for women and children by women, providing services developed in consultation with women who have experienced men’s violence, and from a proudly feminist perspective.
