Harmful Sexual Behaviours have become a growing area of concern in all sectors, including the education sector (DfE report on children & young people who display HSB in schools and colleges, December 2017).
The course will provide learners with the knowledge and skills to effectively understand and identify behaviours of children and young people who display sexually harmful behaviours. Staff will gain an understanding of what is classed as HSB in children and young people, be able to recognise the links between trauma and HSB, gain an understanding of the correct terminology and language to use, and understand the role of parenting and how to talk to parents about HSB.
