Launched in September 2020 the Newham Improvement and Innovation Hub (NIIH) is a space to advance quality improvement (QI) and promote innovation in primary care. Innovation can be viewed as providing a novel solution to a complex problem and NIIH aims to support
General Practices in Newham to addressing common problems encountered in primary care.
The NIIH sits within Newham Training Hub and through our partnership with EQUIP, we are supporting individual general practices with QI, identifying QI champions and providing training.
NIIH host a bimonthlywebinar chaired by the NIIH Lead, where patients and staff gather to share best practice, showcase achievements and are inspire change. The bimonthly webinar’s are rooted in themes covering a wide range of topics seeking to overcome commonly encountered challenges in primary care.
The process of developing creative practical solutions is not limited to a specific organisation or frameworks; there is a diverse range of voices feeding into the work of NIIH. The patient voice can be found at the heart of NIIH, with direct input from patient’s we how to take a new grassroots approach to QI and innovation.
Our main form of output is as follow:
Life QI project guide for EQUIP practices
Life QI plays a huge part in organising and documenting quality improvement projects within EQUIP practices. In order to support coaches in the management of their projects on Life QI, the EQUIP core team have created two documents. Click on the headings to download.
Creating a Project Guide
This document provides a step-by-step guide on how to create a project and appropriately assign it to an organisational priority and a tag (a theme related to each organisation priority).
